Be Wiser car insurance policy details
The level of policy cover you get depends on which car insurance policy you choose.
Be Wiser offers three levels of car insurance cover:
Third party only, which is the minimum legal requirement for the insurance you need in the UK to cover your car. It typically covers the cost of any damage or injury caused to another vehicle, person or their property.
This type of insurance doesn’t cover you for any damage caused to your own car, so you'll need to pay for repairs out of your own pocket. It also won't cover you if you're injured in a car accident, and you’re not protected against fire damage or theft.
Third party, fire and theft offers all the same protection as third party insurance but it'll also cover you if someone steals your car or it's damaged through fire. Be Wiser says that any claims will be subject to the fire and theft policy excess.
Comprehensive insurance is the highest level of car insurance cover that you can buy. It includes all the benefits of third party, fire and theft policies but will also cover you for any damages to your own vehicle, including repairs.
All of Be Wiser’s car insurance policies come with a range of added extras. These include:
- Misfuelling cover, putting the wrong fuel in your car is a common mistake. Lots of insurers won’t cover you for the damage but Be Wiser includes it on all private policies as standard.
- RAC roadside assistance
- Gadget and bag cover
- 24/7 claims assistance
- Three months personal accident cover
- RAC legal expenses cover
Be Wiser offers a selection of car insurance policies and types. Not all policies and types are available through our site, so the exact levels of cover and benefits may vary. Before buying car insurance, we recommend you check the cover and benefits included.
