If you’ve entered your details and still can’t reset your password, there could be a couple of reasons why:
- Your details when the account was created are different from your details now. This might be because you’ve moved home, changed your surname, or entered your date of birth incorrectly when first registering on our website.
- Your email address has been used to create an account for another user. Has anyone else previously used your email address to open a Confused.com account, such as a friend or family member? If so, you may need to enter their details in order to reset the password and use the account. Don’t worry – their details will be stored, so you won’t be deleting their quotes!
If you’ve tried the above but still can’t access your account, then get in touch and we’ll take care of it. Please don't forget to provide us with your full name, date of birth and postcode. Without this information, we won’t be able to help you any further.
We don't keep a record of your previous insurance provider within your account. If you check your bank or credit card statement from the time you bought the policy, there should be a record of the insurance company you paid.
At Confused.com, we don't administer any policies or process payments. This means we can’t provide details from your current policy documents, such as your no-claims bonus, insurance certificate or renewal documents.
If you need to make any adjustments to your policy, please contact your current insurance provider.

Go to your account settings here (you'll be prompted to log in if you haven’t already). From here, scroll down to 'How we contact you' and remove the ticks from any of the communications you don’t want to receive. You can re-subscribe if you’ve changed your mind and want to hear from us about the latest deals! When you’ve done this, save your changes, and your account will be updated within 48 hours. Alternatively, you can just contact us using the form below and we’ll do the rest for you.
To stop reminder emails, open the email and follow the link in the sentence saying "Already sorted your car insurance? You can stop any more reminders here”.
