How many cars has the Fast & Furious franchise destroyed

The Fast & Furious franchise has given us high-octane action for over 15 years. But little attentions is given to the hundreds of cars destroys in the production of these films. Here we pay tribute to each and every one.

Each car indicates a vehicle destroyed in real life (not just on-screen) in the making of the movies:

  • The Fast and the Furious (2001) - 78 cars

  • 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) - 130 cars

  • The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) - 249 cars

  • Fast & Furious (2009) - 190 cars

  • Fast Five (2011) - 260 cars

  • Fast & Furious 6 (2013) - 350 cars

  • Furious 7 (2015) - 230 cars

Over the course of the first seven films, the Fast & Furious franchise destroyed 1,487 cars.

So how will the eighth installment, The Fate of the Furious, measure up?

If the trailers are anything to bo by, this could be the most destructive film the franchise has ever seen.

Number of cars wrecked on-screen in each film's trailer

  • The Fast and the Furious - 3 cars

  • 2 Fast 2 Furious - 6 cars

  • The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - 7 cars

  • Fast & Furious - 12 cars

  • Fast Five - 9 cars

  • Fast & Furious 6 - 13 cars

  • Furious 7 - 6 cars

  • Fate of the Furious - 97 cars

That's going to be one expensive repair bill.
