Cedar Tree travel insurance policy details
Single-trip and annual Cedar Tree travel insurance are available in three levels. Here are the key features of the Silver, Gold or Platinum policies:
Silver cover includes:
Cancellation or curtailment means you’re entitled to a maximum of £3,000 if your trip is seriously disrupted or cancelled.
Departure issues cover means the policy will pay up to £25 for each 12-hour delay up to £150. If your holiday is abandoned, you may claim up to £3,000, or £500 for a missed departure. The latter two come with a £75 excess.
Medical costs up to a £15 million limit. Plus, £450 for emergency dental care and £5,000 for funeral expenses abroad – both with a £75 excess.
Hospital benefit if you have to stay in hospital. You can claim £50 for every 24 hours in care, up to £200.
Personal accident benefit up to £1,000 for permanent total disablement, loss of limb, sight or death, providing you’re aged 18 to 66.
Baggage cover will pay up to £1,500 for lost luggage, with a £75 excess. Single items, pairs or sets of articles are covered to £200, with a £75 excess.
Accidental damage includes up to £750 of protection, with a £75 excess.
Personal money covers loss of cash up to £300, with a £75 excess.
Personal liability includes a maximum of £2 million on all policies if you need to defend yourself in a court case for damage to property or injury to another.
Gold cover includes:
Cancellation or curtailment means you’re entitled to a maximum of £5,000 if your trip’s seriously disrupted.
Departure issues cover pays up to £25 for each 12-hour delay up to £250. If your holiday’s abandoned you may claim up to £5,000, or £500 for a missed departure. Both will have a £50 excess.
Medical costs include £500 for emergency dental care and £5,000 for funeral expenses abroad – both with a £50 excess. The Platinum policy has the same level of benefit, but with no excess.
Hospital benefit means you can claim £50 for every 24 hours in care, up to £500 if you have to stay in hospital.
