Multitrip.com travel insurance policy details
Multitrip.com offers single trip and annual multi-trip travel insurance, with three levels of cover to choose from:
- Essential is the lowest level of cover
- Premier is the mid-level of cover
- Premier Plus is the highest level of cover
With Multitrip.com single trip and annual multi-trip travel insurance, you get:
Emergency medical cover of up to £20 million for emergency medical treatment and repatriation, plus 24-hour emergency assistance.
Premier and Premier Plus cover levels also offer up to £250 for emergency dental pain relief.
Hospital benefit of £20 per day with Premier Plus if you have to stay in hospital during your trip, up to £1,000.
You get the same £1,000 claims limit with the other cover levels, though the daily rate reduces to £15 with Premier and £10 for Essential.
Cancellation/curtailment cover if you’re forced to cancel or cut short your trip. You can make claims for pre-paid transport and accommodation costs.
You get up to £5,000 of cancellation and curtailment cover with Premier Plus, or £3,000 and £1,000 with the Premier and Essential cover levels respectively.
Personal accident cover provides a lump sum payment for personal accidents. Premier Plus pays up to £40,000 for loss of limb/sight or permanent disablement and up to £10,000 in the event of death.
Premier and Essential pay up to £25,000 and £10,000 respectively for loss of limb/sight or permanent disablement. Both Premier and Essential can provide up to £5,000 in death benefit.
Baggage cover offers up to £3,500 for your baggage against accidental damage, theft or loss during your trip with Premier Plus. The baggage cover level is £2,000 with Premier and £1,600 for Essential.
Premier Plus and Premier travel insurance policies also cover baggage delays of more than 12 hours, up to £300 and £250 respectively.
Missed/delayed departure lets you claim for missed departure, up to £1,000 with Premier Plus, £750 for Premier and £500 with Essential.
Premier Plus and Premier also cover you for travel delays of 12 hours or more. You can get £15 for each 12-hour delay to your departure with Premier, up to a maximum of £150. Premier Plus offers £40 per 12 hours of delay, up to £200.
Holiday abandonment cover allows you to claim for irrecoverable, unused accommodation and travel costs should you choose to cancel your trip after a travel delay of at least 24 hours.
Premier Plus, Premier and Essential can pay out up to £5,000, £3,000 and £2,000 for holiday abandonment respectively.
Personal money and documents, like your driving license, are covered against accidental loss, theft or damage. Premier Plus provides up to £1,000 of cover for personal money and documents, reducing to £500 for Premier and £250 if you choose Essential.
Personal liability covers you for personal legal liability if you become legally liable for injuring someone or damaging their property. This comes with all annual and single trip travel insurance policies.
Essential and Premier provide £2 million of personal liability cover. Premier Plus offers £3 million.
Legal expenses cover offers up to £20,000 for legal costs to pursue civil action if someone else causes you bodily injury, illness or death.
COVID-19 cover is included with Multitrip.com travel insurance, offering:
- Medical expenses if you get COVID-19 abroad
- Travel/accommodation expenses if you need to extend your stay abroad due to a COVID-19 diagnosis
- Cancellation cover if you, someone you’re travelling with, or a close relative is either diagnosed with COVID-19 or told to isolate
