Starttravel.co.uk offers single trip and multi-trip annual travel insurance. There are three levels of cover:
3 star is starttravel.co.uk’s most basic travel insurance product.
4 star travel insurance is starttravel.co.uk’s mid-range option.
5 star travel insurance is the highest cover level available.
Starttravel.co.uk provides travel insurance policies for individuals, couples, families and groups. Starttravel.co.uk annual and single trip travel insurance policies include:
Emergency medical and repatriation expenses will cover reasonable and necessary medical and hospital expenses. This includes the cost of ambulance transport where medically necessary to take you to hospital and return you to the UK.
With starttravel.co.uk’s 5 star travel insurance you get up to £15 million of cover for emergency medical and repatriation expenses. The cover level is £10 million for 3 Star and 4 Star.
Trip cancellation and curtailment provides you with up to £5,000 of cancellation cover if you’re forced to cancel or shorten your trip. This includes cover for unused travel and accommodation that you’re contracted to pay. With 4 Star starttravel.co.uk travel insurance, you can claim £2,500 for trip cancellation or curtailment. For the 3 Star cover level, it’s a £1,000 claim limit.
Personal effects and possessions covers the cost of the replacement, reinstatement or repair of your personal possessions if they’re damaged, stolen or lost. The claim limit is £2,500 for the 5 Star starttravel.co.uk travel insurance cover. It’s £2,000 and £1,000 for the 4 Star and 3 Star travel insurance policies respectively.
Legal costs and expenses cover allows you to claim up to £25,000 for legal expenses and assistance with all starttravel.co.uk travel insurance policies.
Personal Accident cover will pay out a lump sum in the event of loss of limbs/sight or permanent total disablement within one year of an accident. The personal accident cover level is £20,000 if you choose 5 star starttravel.co.uk travel insurance. It’s £10,000 with the 4 star travel cover and £5,000 with the 3 star insurance policy. With 5 star cover you also won’t have to pay any excess at all on claims that you make.
