Who is Admiral?
Admiral has grown rapidly since it was first established back in 1993. The Cardiff-based company had just 57 employees back then – these days it’s a major, London-listed financial services group with around 10,000 staff.
Admiral has been offering home insurance for nearly a decade now – it first began selling home cover in 2012. However, when Admiral started out in 1993 its business was all about car insurance. Admiral has continued to diversify over the years, branching out into travel insurance in 2017 and then more recently adding personal loans and car finance to its line-up.
Along with its core home insurance offering, Admiral also provides tenant, landlord and flood insurance.
Admiral has won some kudos over the years. For instance, it was voted Best Home Insurance Provider 2019 at the Insurance Choice Awards. Admiral also came first in the Moneyfacts Highly Commended Insurance Provider 2021 accolades.
