What does the AA buildings insurance cover?
AA buildings insurance protects the structure of your home, like the walls, roof, windows and any fixed fittings.
There are 3 levels of cover to choose from – Silver, Gold and Platinum. All come with unlimited buildings cover as standard. That means you don’t have to work out your home’s rebuild cost, and you won’t risk being underinsured.
The level of cover you pick affects what else is included. With Silver, you get up to £25,000 for alternative accommodation, £2,000 theft cover for outbuildings, and £5,000 for tracing and fixing hidden leaks.
Gold increases those limits giving you up to £45,000 for alternative accommodation and £3,000 for outbuilding theft.
Go for Platinum, and you’ll get the most protection. That includes up to £75,000 for alternative accommodation cover, £5,000 theft cover from outbuildings, and £10,000 for trace and access. Home emergency cover is also included as standard, while it’s optional on Silver and Gold.
What does the AA contents insurance cover?

You can choose a cover level between £40,000 and £100,000, depending on what you need. Or if you go for the Platinum policy, your contents cover is unlimited.
Each level of cover offers something different. Silver includes the basics, like up to £2,000 garden cover and £100 for freezer contents.
With Gold, you get more including up to £5,000 for home office equipment, £3,000 for garden items and £300 for frozen food.
