Coverwise travel insurance policy details
Coverwise offers both single-trip and multi-trip travel insurance, with five levels to choose from:
- Standard
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
Their Standard cover level includes:
- Excess: £125
- Emergency medical expenses: £20 million.
- Cancellation and curtailment: £1,000.
- Infants born abroad: £150,000 if child is born in Canada, Caribbean or the USA. £75,000 elsewhere.
- Emergency dental treatment: £1,000.
- Hospital benefits:£30 for every 24 hours in hospital or quarantine, up to £2000.
- New Zealand disability: £200 a week if you’re left temporarily disabled following an accident on New Zealand roads.
- Personal accident: Up to £10,000 for serious, permanent injury, or death.
- Baggage: Up to £1,000 for lost, stolen or damaged or stolen luggage.
- Single item limit: £200 for single item, pair or set.
- Personal money: £200 for money lost, or £50 if under 16.
- Passport and documents: £100 for lost documents, and up to £400 for extra travel and accommodation fees while you arrange a replacement passport.
- Personal liability: Up to £2 million.
- Legal assistance: Up to £50,000 for civil action if you’re harmed or killed, per person, up to £100,000.
Coverwise's other cover levels come with everything included with their standard cover option, plus some added extras.
Bronze cover adds in:
- Lower excess:£100
- Cancellation and curtailment: £1,500.
- Baggage cover: £1,750.
- Passport and documents cover: £150 for claims, £350 for travel and accommodation costs.
Silver policies include all the above, plus:
- Lower excess: £50
- Cancellation and curtailment: £2,000.
- Personal accident: £20,000 for injury, £10,000 for death.
- Baggage replacement: £200 if your baggage is lost for 12 hours, £400 for 24 hours.
- Delayed departure: £20 per each 12 hours departure is delayed, up to £200.
- Abandonment: £2,000 for travel and accommodation costs if your journey is delayed by over 12 hours.
- Missed departure: £1,000 for extra accommodation and travel costs incurred if miss your connection.
Gold includes all of the above, plus:
- Cancellation and curtailment: £3,000.
- Personal accident cover: £20,000.
- Baggage cover: £2,000.
- Single item limit: £200 for single item, pair or set, £300 for all valuables.
- Passport and document cover: £300 for lost documents, £300 while arranging replacement passport or visa.
- Delayed departure cover: £20 per each 12 hour delay up to £300.
- Abandonment cover: £3,000 if your journey is delayed by over 12 hours.
- Kennel and cattery fees: £50 for every 24 hours, up to £200, for extra fees incurred due to a delay caused by your injury, illness or disease.
Platinum is Coverwise’s highest level of cover, and includes all of the above plus:
- Cancellation and curtailment: £6,000.
- Hospital benefits: £30 for every 24 hours in hospital or quarantine, up to £2,000.
- Personal accident cover: £30,000.
- New Zealand disability: £250 a week.
- Baggage cover: £3,500.
- strong>Single item limit: £300 for single item, pair or a set, and £500 total.
- Personal money cover: £350, or £50 for under 16s.
- Passport and document cover: £150 for lost documents and £500 for costs associated with arranging a replacement passport.
- Delayed departure cover: £35 after a 12-hour delay, and £20 for each subsequent 12-hour delay, up to £350.
- Abandonment cover: £6,000 for delays over 12 hours.
- Kennel and cattery fees: £50 for every 24 hours, up to £250.
