About Intelligent Insurance

Intelligent Insurance was founded in 2014 by CEO Philip Davies, with the aim of helping homeowners with ‘unusual’ properties or personal circumstances find high-quality home insurance.

Since then, they’ve helped customers find cover for everything from listed buildings, timber-framed properties, uninhabited homes, barn conversions, probate homes, and much more.

And it’s not just non-standard properties they’ve specialised in: homeowners with convictions, a history of bankruptcy, or who have been refused cover in the past have all found cover through Intelligent Insurance.

Their policies are underwritten by a panel of trusted UK insurers, making them a solid option for anyone struggling to find cover through traditional insurers.

What home insurance add-ons do Intelligent Insurance offer?

If you want to shore up your insurance and make sure it covers everything you need it to, Intelligent Insurance offers paid-for extras like:

Personal possessions cover: Protects your valuable items (like phones or jewellery) when you take them outside your home, in case they're lost, stolen, or damaged.

High-value items insurance: Standard policies come with a single item limit of £2000. If you have items worth more than this, you’ll need high-value items insurance to cover them.

Bicycle insurance: Insures your bike against theft and damage when it’s away from home. You’ll normally be able to insure bikes worth up to £5000.

Home Emergency Plus: An upgrade to the standard Home Emergency cover that offers higher claim limits and broader protection for things like boiler breakdowns and home security issues.

Family Legal Protection Plus: An enhanced version of standard legal cover, increasing the claim limit available to you and expanding the range of legal disputes covered.
