Who is U Drive Cover?
U Drive Cover is an insurance intermediary that arranges car cover through a panel of insurers. The company strives to arrange suitable policies whichever car you drive and whatever your personal circumstances may be.
U Drive Cover is a Middlesex-based insurance intermediary that was established about seven years ago. Owned by a senior management team with over 50 years’ experience in the non-standard insurance market, U Drive Cover says it can arrange insurance for anyone, irrespective of the car they drive.
U Drive Cover also specialises in insurance for groups such as young or convicted drivers, and for non-standard vehicle types, including modified, high-performance and imported cars.
They were formed to offer customers a personal approach and they set out to prove that excellent service doesn’t mean that you have to pay higher premiums. Along with car insurance, U Drive Cover also arranges motorcycle insurance, home insurance and commercial vehicle cover.
U Drive Cover policy details
U Drive Cover provides three main types of car insurance cover:
Third-party is the lowest level of car cover offered by U Drive Cover and also represents the minimum legal requirement that you need to drive on UK roads. If you're in an accident, you should be covered for damage to other people’s vehicles and any injuries sustained to others. However, you and your car will not be covered.
Third-party, fire & theft (TPFT) is the next level of cover up offered by U Drive Cover. As well as giving you the minimum level of cover you get with third-party insurance, TPFT means your car will also be insured against damage caused by fire and theft.
Comprehensive cover is the third type of car insurance offered by U Drive Cover. Fully comprehensive gives you everything you get with a TPFT policy, but also means you and your car are insured even for accidents where you are to blame.
Enhanced benefits are available on U Drive Cover car insurance policies. This tends to include driving in the EU as standard but you can also include a range of other enhanced benefits such as personal accident cover, insurance to guarantee repairs, child seat cover and legal costs insurance. What extras you can include will depend on which insurer is providing the policy. Even some of the TPFT policies arranged by U Drive Cover may include benefits such as cover for legal expenses.
U Drive Cover offers a selection of car insurance policies and types. Not all policies and types are available through our site, so the exact levels of cover and benefits may vary. Before buying car insurance, we recommend you check the cover and benefits included.
