Bell black box policy details
Bell gives you online updates on how your driving’s going. This includes guidance and tips on your driving style. If you up your game over the year many clients see a discount come renewal time, Bell claims.
But how does it work? Well, the more you drive the more risk you’re exposed to. Drive a lot and your overall score may go down. Bell’s black box also measures where and when you drive. So if you avoid driving at night – night-time driving is riskier for all of us – your overall score can perk up.
Bell says it’s not just about where, when and how you drive. Their Plug & Drive policy measures your regular driving routes and the type of roads you tend to drive on most.
It’s also fitted with a tracker. So if your car’s stolen it stands a better chance of being recovered.
Like most telematics products, Plug & Drive puts you in complete control of what’s measured during your policy. However, if you do a lot of driving, conventional insurance policies might be a better bet.
In other words, shop around for a policy that best suits your driving needs. Bell says it doesn’t share your driving data with the police unless there’s a police inquiry or a serious incident occurs.
Bell offers immediate cover if you need it – even without their telematics device installed. Unlimited audio cover is offered but only for standard manufacturer stereo kits installed in your car.
Bell also includes European cover for up to 90 days.
