Hastings Premier car insurance policy details
There are three levels of cover to choose from with the Hastings Premier policy. The one you go for will depend upon the amount of cover you’re after and your budget.
Third-party offers the most basic protection. It will cover any third party if there’s an accident.
Third-party, fire and theft offers a little more protection than third-party only. You’ll also be covered if your car is damaged because of a fire or if it’s stolen.
Comprehensive includes the highest level of car insurance cover. It covers you for everything already mentioned but you and your car will also be protected. Your personal belongings are also covered for up to £300, and you’ll get cover for your windscreen and glass.
Hastings Premier includes a range of features. No matter what level of cover you’ve opted for, you will benefit from up to 90 days cover in the European Union and legal liability for damage to another person’s car of up to £25 million including all costs.
It also includes legal protection and breakdown cover as standard. Most policies require you to pay extra for these features, although the overall price of the policy will incorporate these costs.
You’ll be covered for up to £100,000 for legal disputes resulting from a road traffic accident, and legal expenses to defend you in a prosecution for motoring offences. Plus you’ll have access to legal advice at any time. This is provided by Allianz Legal Protection, part of the insurer Allianz.
For breakdown cover, there are four levels to choose from. The most basic, included in the policy, covers you for roadside assistance and misfuelling.
Hastings Premier also includes an uninsured drivers promise. This means if you have an accident and the other driver doesn’t have insurance, you won’t lose your no-claims bonus and you should not have to pay the excess on the claim.
However, in order for this to happen you’ll need to send the make, model, and registration number of the other vehicle and may have to provide the driver’s name and address.
If your car is vandalised, you also won’t lose your no-claims bonus.
Hastings Premier offers a selection of car insurance policies and types. Not all policies and types are available through our site, so the exact levels of cover and benefits may vary. Before buying car insurance, we recommend you check the cover and benefits included.
