Ford C-Max insurance

The C-Max could be seen as a cross breed between the Fiesta and the Focus. Although it uses attributes from Ford's more popular vehicles, it has been designed with family practicality in mind.

Think of it as a Focus on steroids!

Reliability Index voted the C-max as 'good' in regard to its reliability. This score is based upon the number of times the car fails to start, how long it is off the road due to repairs, the cost of the repair and the average age and mileage of that particular vehicle recorded on their database. With this score, it could mean more time on the road for you and less time in the garage for your trusty car.

Typically, the lower the engine size, the lower the insurance group. So if you're on a budget, maybe go for the Ford C-Max Zetec 1 litre. If you prefer a bit more raw power then a 2.0 C-Max Style could take your fancy.

Ford C-Max model Engine size (litres) Typical insurance group* Tax bracket range
      LX 1.3 - 1.8 10 - 18 D - H
      Style 1.6 - 2.0 12 - 20 C - J

      Ford C-Max: The facts

      • Manufactured: 2003 - present
      • Class: Multi-purpose vehicle (MPV)
      • Interesting fact: The C-Max is the second smallest MPV in Ford's line-up, after the new B-Max

Now in its second generation, the C-Max has proven itself to be a highly credited vehicle. While the C-Max is less expensive than some of its competitors, safety hasn't been substituted as a result. Not only was it awarded a maximum 5 star safety Euro NCAP rating, it also impressed its critiques and received rave reviews.

Controversially, on its initial release, the C-Max was only available in a 5 seat option. This was soon readdressed and the Ford C-Max Grand was released. This was essentially the same car but stretched out to fit in 2 extra seats.
