More on our life insurance providers

You can rest assured that all of the life insurance companies that we work with are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The FCA helps ensure that UK customers are treated fairly when it comes to insurance, and this case, life insurance. This includes being impartial when it comes to who we work with and the prices we're able to show you. Whatever price we show is the best available at that time.

Below you'll see a list of the 10 life insurance providers that we work with. When you get a quote, you may not see every company that we work with in the results. This is because cover levels can vary depending on the provider, so depending what you're looking for, you may get a quote from some of our providers, or all of them.

When you buy a policy via Confused.com, our partner Direct Life & Pension Services Ltd pay us an agreed percentage of their commission received from the provider. You can find out more on our about us page about how we operate and the various services that we're able to offer our customers.

We work with a number of different life insurance providers, but our service will always be impartial. We don’t recommend one company as being the best or promote one policy over another. We leave that choice to you.

When it comes to finding the right life insurance policy for you and your family within your budget, we're here to help.

It all starts with what level of cover you want, be it help to pay your mortgage, paying off any debts that you have, supporting your partner and children with any living costs, or leaving a sum to help cover the cost of your funeral.

Cover levels can vary between different insurers, so be sure to check your policy wording before you buy to make sure you're covered for everything that you need.

Here's a list of the life insurance companies we work with:

  • AIG
  • Aviva
  • Beagle Street
  • HSBC Life
  • Legal & General
  • Liverpool Victoria
  • Quote Me Happy
  • Royal London
  • Vitality Life
  • Zurich

How to get a quote

Getting a quote with us takes just 3 minutes, and there are a few things you'll need to help get started:

  • Your name
  • Your age
  • A brief outline of your medical history
  • Details of any pre-existing medical conditions
  • All of the above for anyone else you'd like to include on the policy

We might also ask you about your family medical history. This is so insurers can see whether you run the risk of developing a condition during your cover period. If heart disease runs in your family, for example, you may be more likely to suffer with it yourself.

Once we have your details, we’ll also ask you:

  • What type of life insurance policy you're looking for
  • How much life insurance cover you want
  • How long you want to be covered for

We’ll then do the rest to find you our best deal.

Further down the line, you may be asked to have a medical. This is so insurers can see how healthy you are before offering you a quote. Not all policies will ask you to have this, but it’s worth keeping in mind.
