Insurance Republic travel insurance policy details
Insurance Republic offers single-trip and multi-trip travel insurance for individuals, couples, families and groups. Each is available in three levels of cover: Silver, Gold and Diamond. Here are the key benefits and limits of each level:
Silver policy
Personal accident cover would cover loss of a limb, sight or life as a result of an accident that occurred on your trip for up to £5,000.
Personal legal cover is available should you face a personal liability claim for accidentally injuring another person or damaging their property. There's up to £2 million of protection across Silver, Gold and Diamond policies
Cancellation cover offers up to £1,600 to help cover unrecoverable travel and accommodation costs incurred due to your inability to continue with your trip
Travel delay cover means you can claim up to £200 for departure time delays for the inconvenience.
Personal possessions cover offers up to £1,200 to cover the destruction, theft, theft or loss of personal possessions, including your baggage. However, certain gadgets, such as iPhones, won’t be covered under this policy element.
Loss of money covers travel money that's stolen while in your possession or from a safety deposit box. You may claim up to £300.
Loss of passport pays up to £250 to cover additional travel and accommodation costs arising from the theft or loss of your passport.
Excess for the Silver policy is £120. So you’re obliged to pay the first £120 towards any claim. This amount is on a per person, per claim basis.
Gold policy
Personal accident cover means you’d be covered for loss of a limb, sight or life as a result of an accident that occurred on your trip for up to £10,000. This limit also applies to the Diamond policy.
Cancellation cover offers £2,000 to help cover unrecoverable travel and accommodation costs incurred due to your trip being cancelled.
Travel delay cover means you can claim up to £300 if your departure time is delayed. You can claim up to £2,000 and £250 if you incur extra travel or accommodation costs if you’re trip’s abandoned.

Travel delay cover offers up to £300 for the inconvenience if your departure time is delayed. If your trip’s abandoned you can claim up to £3,000 and £500 if you incur extra travel or accommodation costs through missing your scheduled connection.
Personal possessions cover offers up to £2,000 to cover the destruction, theft, theft or loss of personal possessions, including your baggage. However, certain gadgets, such as iPhones won’t be covered under this policy element.
Excess. With this policy, you’re obliged to pay the first £70 towards any claim. This amount is on a per person, per claim basis.
