Hastings Premier motorbike insurance policy details
Unlike with many other motorbike insurance providers, Hastings Premier offers certain perks as standard, including helmet and leathers cover. As we mentioned above, you’re covered for driving in Europe for up to 90 days and there's no excess if you’re involved in an incident with an uninsured motorist.
Where the Direct and Premier diverge is in relation to certain other benefits. For example, the Premier insurance policy comes with £100,000 of legal protection and of course offers helmet and leathers cover for claims up to £1,000, plus motor legal expenses insurance.
There are three levels of Hastings motorbike insurance:
Comprehensive is the top level of protection covering the rider and their bike, plus any injury to other people or damage to their property. It's always worth getting a quote for comprehensive cover as in many cases the price difference between this and the lowest level of protection is marginal.
Third party, fire and theft cover will ensure you're not saddled with a bill if you're motorbike is stolen or in the event of a fire.
Third party only provides the most basic level of cover. If you're involved in an incident, your insurance provider will pick up the tab for damages caused to another party. However, your own expenses won’t be covered.
Not everything is included as standard with the Premier policy, though. If you want personal accident cover or breakdown cover, these optional extras will cost more.
Hastings offer a selection of motorbike insurance policies, so the exact levels of cover and benefits of the policies offered when you get a quote may vary. Before buying Hastings motorbike insurance, we recommend that you check the cover and benefits included.
