UK tourists are planning on tightening their belts when they go on holiday this year, latest research suggests.
Around 17 per cent of Britons say they're aiming to rein in how much they spend when they travel abroad compared to last year, while 42 per cent intend to spend a similar amount of money, the survey by M&S Money revealed.
Those looking to be more frugal will be reducing their holiday outgoings by an average of £326, according to the poll.
However, 32 per cent of those questioned said they'd be splashing more cash while overseas this year.
Another poll, by currency firm Moneycorp, found that the average total spending money Britons plan to take away with them on a two-week break is £451.
The company said holidaymakers had taken more away with them in previous years, but 23 per cent now intend to take less cash with them on holiday.
