Skiers Stereotyped By Nationality

Skiers from Germany have no awareness of those around them on the slopes and skiers from Italy tend to ski and board too fast, according to a travel insurance company's survey.

InsureandGo made the claims after carrying out a new poll which also said skiers from Britain apparently have a habit of showing off on-piste, skiers from France exaggerate their ability and skiers from Spain are not trained well enough.

The survey also said most accidents on ski slopes take place in late afternoon and just after lunchtime.

According to InsureandGo, skiers pushing themselves too hard and exceeding their technical abilities is the main reason why accidents happen on the slopes. The survey concluded that this is because skiers are jealous of other people's skill.
