Confused.com is Set to Make Someone a Millionaire and Kent and Sussex are the Luckiest Postcodes - | Cheap Car Insurance and Home Insurance from Confused.com
Confused.com, the UK’s leading insurance price comparison site, unveiled plans last month to make someone in the UK an instant millionaire simply by requesting a home and/or car insurance quotation - however, lady luck resides in the most unexpected places!
Contrary to popular belief, the Irish do not seem to have the lion’s share of good fortune. Statistics¹ show that in January 2008 the luckiest postcode in the UK is Medway Towns (ME postcode), closely followed by Ilford (IG – previously number one for 5 years running) in 2nd place and Romford (RM) in 3rd. There is no evidence to show that shamrocks, horseshoes or even lucky rabbits feet are more common in these areas, but with £1,000,000 up for grabs it may be worth a try!
Confused.com estimates that 1 in 4 people don’t shop around for their insurance which means that millions of people are missing out on the chance to save an average of £215 on their car insurance and £151 on their home insurance premium, as well as the chance to win £1 million tax free with the Confused.com £1 million giveaway.
Debra Williams, Managing Director, Confused.com, comments:
With this exciting £1,000,000 giveaway we are trying to motivate those people who never change their insurer and show them just how much money they can save (or win in this case) by using a price comparison site like Confused.com. 6 million people used Confused.com last year to find the right insurance policy for them and there is a further 19 million people who could benefit from using our service.
Confused.com feel strongly that consumers should save as much money on their insurance as possible, and with the chance to win £1,000,000 they certainly have nothing to lose.
