The town most likely to keep money in drivers' pockets through cheaper petrol and reduced parking fees is Telford in Shropshire, research has found.
The survey by Virgin Money also found motorists in big cities such as London and Cardiff were most likely to be driven to despair through rising fuel prices, parking costs and speed cameras.
St Helens in Merseyside was found to be the second most car-friendly town in the UK, followed by Southend, Sunderland and Belfast.
The place which gave car owners the most trouble was London, followed by Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, Luton in Bedfordshire, West Bromwich and Dudley in the West Midlands and Sunderland were the best towns and cities for cheap parking. And London topped the poll for the most expensive, along with Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and Oxford.
Based on the number of car parks per 1,000 people, Aberdeen was the top town, followed by Blackpool, Poole, Gloucester and Telford.
The places people were likely to struggle to find car parking were London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds and Glasgow.
Eastbourne, Poole, Colchester and Brighton and Hove were the least likely places where motorists would need to contact their car insurance brokers and claim for vehicle crime, while drivers were most at risk in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Slough in Berkshire.
