Vodafone customers will pay less to use their mobile phones in some European countries from 1 December, when a new charging system is introduced.
Vodafone UK is introducing two new services for businesses and individual customers, which will make using mobile internet or checking emails on a mobile phone cheaper while travelling in Europe.
With Vodafone Data Traveller, customers will be able to take advantage of a daily allowance of up to 25MB of mobile data each day. Occasional roamers will pay £2-a-day and regular travellers on a contract can opt to pay £10 a month.
This allowance will allow Vodafone customers to read and reply to 250 emails, access Facebook 500 times, download 65 maps or watch 25 minutes of YouTube.
The new rates are available to UK customers on contract or pay as you go and can be accessed in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Swizerland. 5MB of data roaming will be available daily in other European countries.
