The most expensive residential street in England and Wales is in Holland Park in London, according to the latest research.
Figures released by Lloyds TSB suggest that Campden Hill Square is the most costly place to buy a home at present, with an average asking price of £4.9 million recorded there.
Seven of the bank's top 10 most costly streets are located in Kensington and Chelsea. Drayton Gardens and Dawson Place are among them, with respective average house prices of £4.4 million and £3.9 million.
Last year's most valuable street, Parkside, in Merton, south-west London, was placed second in the 2011 list, with a typical property price of £4.8 million.
Suren Thiru, an economist at the bank, said green space tends to attract buyers to more expensive properties in regions away from the capital.
He stated: "Outside London, the areas with the most expensive streets are generally located well away from central areas, where buyers are typically attracted by larger properties and more green space."
