The country's most desirable place to live, offering the best quality of life has been named in an annual report by a building society.
Banking group the Halifax has crowned the Hampshire district of Hart as one of the most alluring locations for individuals and families, after taking into account the property market, education, crime levels and the health of residents.
Other aspects such as the traffic, weather and broadband access were also considered. The research shows 95% of Hart people were in good health and had an income at 40% above the UK average.
With over 1,000 listed buildings and 30 conservation areas, Hart in the north east of Hampshire includes the towns of Fleet and Yateley.
Also running through the UK's most desirable place to live is the River Hart.
The top 50 most desirable places to live in the 2011 Quality of Life Survey by Halifax did not include any areas in the North of England, Scotland or Wales, but 27 places were in southern England and 15 were in the eastern regions.
Other areas that made the top 10 were East and South Cambridgeshire, St Albans, Epsom, Brentwood, Ewell, and Wokingham.
