Burglars ransack Keira Knightley's home

Actress Keira Knightley has been forced to contact her home insurance company after her flat in central London was ransacked by burglars.

The 25-year-old star, who is thought to share the flat with her brother, was not at home when the burglary took place on October 26.

The thieves stole two laptop computers from the Pirates of the Caribbean star's London home, the Sun newspaper reported.

It is believed that the burglars also targeted two other properties in the block of flats where she lives.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Officers from Westminster are investigating a residential burglary. It is believed to have occurred between 09:00 and 21:00 on October 26, 2010."

Last month it emerged that Knightley was to return to the West End to star opposite Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss in the play Children's Hour.

Knightley's agent was unavailable for comment.
