What type of cover is best?

If you only make one or two trips abroad each year, buying single-trip cover each time may be the cheapest option. If I take my golf clubs with me, how much are they insured for?

Cover is not normally provided for golf clubs; you need to arrange separate cover for your golf clubs if you're planning to take them with you.

When does cancellation cover commence?

If your policy includes it, cancellation cover applies as soon as you buy the policy. It ends on your departure.

Is there a limit to the number of days I can be abroad on an annual policy?

Annual multi-trip policies limit the number of days you can spend abroad during any one trip. Some also limit the maximum total number of days you can spend abroad, so it's worth checking before you buy.

Do annual policies cover ski and snowboarding trips?

Some annual travel insurance policies include ski and snowboard cover, but you are usually limited to a maximum number of days each year.
