Extreme Weather Warnings Issued
It’s sandbags time again... The Met Office have issued extreme weather warnings for parts of Britain over the next couple of days. The regions worst affected will be Cumbria, north Wales and parts of western Scotland, where the public have been advised to take action.
What’s expected in these regions:
- Rainfall of between 75mm and 100mm, and more still over higher ground
- Southerly gales, with gusts of up to 60 and 70mph
- Combined with high tides, there is a risk of coastal flooding in Dumfries and Galloway and Cumbria
