1. He was born in Hilingdon, London but grew up in Hazlemere in Buckinghamshire.

2. His middle name is Kimberley.

3. He appeared in one episode of Hollyoaks in 2000.

4. He played Richard Timms in The History Boys alongside other now well-known actors like Russell Tovey and Dominic Cooper.

5. He co-wrote and co-starred in Gavin & Stacey with Ruth Jones.

6. He and Matt Horne from Gavin & Stacey went on to create their own comedy show called Horne & Corden.

7. He started hosting A League of Their Own, a panel show on Sky 1, in 2010.

8. He’s appeared in two episodes of Doctor Who alongside Matt Smith – The Lodger and Closing Time.

9. He took over from Craig Ferguson as the host for The Late Late Show in 2015.

10. He has been awarded an OBE in 2015 for services to drama.

11. He currently lives in Los Angeles.

12. In 1998 he appeared in a Tango advert which was quickly banned.
