New research from Confused.com has revealed that 243 is the unluckiest door number in the UK. The price comparison site found that people with the house number 243 have made more claims on their home insurance than those with any other door number, with 45% having made a claim since January 2007.

With 0% interest on balance transfers for 16 months, and a typical APR of 16.8%, it just edges ahead of the MBNA Platinum card courtesy of the 2.89% BT handling fee. RBS and NatWest have also extended their 0% BT period back up to 16 months, although the cards continue to be available to existing current account customers only.

New findings from Confused.com reveal that charity credit cards may not be as ‘giving’ as customers think.
