Two stretches of road in the north of England have been named as the UK's worst for potholes by users of a website.
The online pothole campaign, launched by Warranty Direct, found the B6343 near Morpeth in Northumberland and Fieldhead Lane in West Yorkshire had the worst potholes.
Potholes.co.uk was launched in a bid to raise awareness to the crumbling state of UK roads by identifying the numbers affected by potholes.
One website user said the Morpeth road had "a huge array of potholes", while Fieldhead Lane in West Yorkshire was "more like an off-road assault course" according to another.
The campaign comes at a time when potholes are the top of the agenda for many motorists - with plenty of roads affected after suffering at the hands of two bitter winters and Government budget cuts.
The Government recently announced emergency pothole repair funding to the tune of £100 million - however many car insurance customers are still hindered by the issue.
Plenty of people had an opinion on where the worst-hit area was, with nominations registered on the site for more than 80 sections of Britain's 246,000 mile highway network.
