The majority of car buyers are favouring silver when selecting a colour for their vehicle, new research suggests.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) confirmed that silver is currently the most popular car colour for consumers, with white cars also notching an increase in demand over recent times.
Drivers on England's south coast appear to be those favouring white to the greatest extent, according to the SMMT.
With regards to slightly brighter colours, motorists in Leeds are the most keen to opt for pink with the West Yorkshire city boasting the highest number of cars in this shade.
Figures released by the SMMT also shed light on the country's overall car volumes.
Almost 31.26 million cars were used by drivers on the UK's roads last year, it revealed.
This marked an increase of 0.7 per cent compared with statistics from the previous year.
