The man who caused a 14-car pile up in Japan costing more than £2.5 million has admitted he was driving over the speed limit.
The self-employed 60-year-old man sparked the pile up when he lost control of his Ferrari he was driving on the Chugoku Expressway in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi.
He admitted to police he was driving faster than the 80km speed limit when he tried to change lanes on the wet highway.
The collision included a host of luxury cars, including seven other Ferraris, a Mercedes and a Lamborghini and has been classed as Japan's most expensive car crash.
Ten people suffered minor injuries.
The unnamed driver reportedly told police: "I was driving at a faster speed than the legal limit. I had attempted to change lanes while driving in the passing lane, but the rear wheels of my car skidded, prompting my car to hit the guardrail."
Police are quizzing the drivers of all 14 cars involved in the pile up, as well as their passengers.
