Vauxhall Insignia car insurance

Vauxhall introduced the Insignia to the UK in 2009 and it was welcomed by critics as the best model from Vauxhall in quite a while. A mid-sized family car, the Insignia replaced the Vectra and is a direct rival of the Ford Mondeo. The Insignia is available in three different body styles; a 5-door hatchback, a 4-door saloon and a sports tourer (estate).

Vauxhall's current Insignia range has options to suit the economically-minded, like the 1.4l Exclusiv, or the 2.0l VXR for those who are seeking a powerful, high-performance driving experience. The engine size, value of the car and its high spec are just a few reasons why the Insignia could fall under the high insurance group range.

You could find the Insignia in ABI insurance groups of as high as 38 and tax bands up to M, meaning that the running costs for your Insignia can quickly add up.

The table below could give you some idea of how much your premium could be, by illustrating some of the Insignia's models, their engine sizes, typical insurance groups and tax bands.

Saloon 1.4 - 2.0 15 - 32 C - M
