Inspired by the C6 Lignage prototype which was first unveiled at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, the Citroën C6 did not officially enter production until almost 5 years later, though the similarities between the two cars are clear. The C6 differs from the concept car’s styling only in minor details.
As Citroën’s foray into the large executive saloon market, the C6 is uniquely styled and loaded with all the luxuries you’d expect from a model trying to compete with the likes of Audi and BMW. The C6 also comes with some unique safety features, which helped it gain a 5 star Euro NCAP rating
