Breakdown of car insurance prices April 2011

The Confused.com and Towers Watson car insurance price figures for April 2011 have shown further steep rises for the average cost of comprehensive premiums.

This first chart shows where rises have been steepest throughout the country. The biggest hikes cluster around the major cites, including London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester:
