The average saving made by Confused.com customers who switch their energy suppliers is £208[2]. However, if you've never switched before, it's possible that your saving will be even bigger!

Suppliers are always changing their tariffs and prices, so regardless of which company you're with you might still be able to save a substantial amount.

How often can I change suppliers?

You can change suppliers as often as you like. It might be an idea to check Confused.com periodically to make sure you're still getting a good deal.

Is it easy to switch suppliers? How many are doing it?

Around 5.1 million customers switched their gas and/or electricity suppliers in 2007[3] and 90% of them say switching is easy[4], according to independent OFGEM surveys carried out by MORI. "The number of customers switching ... shows that suppliers who don't offer competitive prices and good service will lose customers," said Alistair Buchanan, Ofgem's chief executive[5].
