What is a Nectar card?
It's a free reward card. You can collect points on everyday shopping, and then redeem them later. So it's a bit like building up credit, which you can later use against flights, trips to the cinema, meals out...All sorts!
Haven't got a Nectar card?
The quickest way to start collecting Nectar points is to pick up a card in store. These can be collected from:
Pick up a registration pack in store, and start collecting Nectar points straight away. You can then register your card online here. Alternatively if you can't make it to a store, you can register for a new Nectar card via the Nectar website.
How do I collect points?
Nectar points are usually collected at a rate of two points for every £1 spent. Extra points may be earned when buying certain products or during particular promotions. The number of points on offer may vary. For instance, if you’re buying fuel, this usually translates to a rate of one point per litre. Also, Sainsbury’s customers will receive one point for every carrier bag that they re-use.
How do I redeem points?
Once you’ve collected points, there are loads of places where you can spend them. There are three simple ways to redeem your Nectar points:
